Day of celebrations

 

Stephen Bernhard, managing director of Bernhard and Company, the mower blade grinder company based in Rugby, is pictured outside its new offices with father Jeffrey (85).

It was a day of celebrations for managing director Stephen Bernhard and the team at grinding specialist Bernhard and Company when they officially received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise from the Lord Lieutenant of Warwickshire
The presentation took place  at the company’s offices in Rugby and speaking at the event Stephen Bernhard, said: "We can be justifiably proud of this award which is a tribute to the entire team”.
Stephen Bernhard also paid tribute to his father, thanking him for his encouragement and support. Jeffrey Bernhard started a landscaping business in Rugby in 1950, a nursery in 1955 and a garden centre – thought to be Britain’s first in 1960
