Learner of the Year.....Oatridge

Twenty nine year-old David Smith, who runs his own successful garden maintenance company from his home in Plean, has won through to the final to challenge for the title of Lantra Landbased and Aquaculture Learner of the Year.
He was nominated for the award by Oatridge College in West Lothian, where he has already completed a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Horticulture with distinction and is now studying for an HNC in Landscape Management. He will now go to a glittering awards ceremony in early March, hoping to continue the College’s run of winning the over-all title six times in the last seven years.
