First rapid

 

December saw the arrival of the first Rapid tractor at the port of Douglas, to work for the Department Of Transport, Isle of Man. The machine, a 9 hp Hydrostatic drive Rapid Mondo and 70cm Flail attachment is to be used to maintain Reservoir embankment, re instated quarry land recently planted with trees and even keeping the dual carriageway looking tidy outside of the islands airport. The DOT are planning to purchase an additional larger Universo later this year as areas of work increase.
