Post Pullers have recently developed a machine specifically for the safe removal of safety barrier posts. Current common practises include using clamps and chains to remove these posts. This technique has on several occasions caused very serious accidents, primarily because this method is designed for ‘lifting’ and not for ‘pulling’. Having now completed demonstrations with companies such as Balfour Beatty, Carillion and Aone+, they all confirm that the safe removal of these posts is without doubt an issue within the industry.
