The team at The British Hardwood Tree Nursery is anticipating good demand for its trees,

hedgerow plants and contract services and plans for its traditionally busiest Autumn

and Winter periods are already well underway.

told The Landscaper “Despite challenging economic trading conditions, our sales continue to be strong. I believe that this is fundamentally due to the high quality of our plants and products. However, we also feel that it is down to the professional advice and level of service which we strive to offer,” .

The Snitterby-based Nursery specialises in the wholesale supply of UK Provenance forestry

trees and hedgerow plants and forestry and landscaping products. Orders are made-up to

customers’ exact requirements and the business also handles contract planting and offers

“soft” landscaping services.

“We are confident that the coming season will be buoyant, especially for farmers and

landowners involved in grant-aided initiatives, such as the English Woodland Grant Scheme

and Higher Level Stewardship schemes,”

“The grants paid through these schemes are a great incentive and underline the value put

on the environment by the Government, with the cost of establishment, in many cases,

being covered by the grant”.
