The four top scoring colleges from the heats of the WorldSkills UK Landscape Gardening Advanced competition have been announced and will compete in the final at this year’s show
The teams, from Chichester College, Craven College (Skipton), Moulton College (Northampton) and Otley College (Ipswich), will compete over the four days of the exhibition, each constructing a 7m x 7m garden designed by prolific RHS Chelsea Gold Medal winning designer Andy Sturgeon.
Andy Sturgeon Landscape and Garden Design has earned a reputation for creating stylish, modern landscapes that are a fusion of contemporary design and natural materials. Andy’s design for the advanced competition final has a North American/Canadian feel with a small decked area constructed around a planted tree and partially over a formal pool. In addition to turfing and soft planting, competitors will have to construct bespoke fencing and an unusual seat faced with cobbles.
The success of the WorldSkills UK Landscape Gardening competition final each year is the result of stringent judging by a panel of acknowledged experts in their field. Finalists listen intently to the judges’ feedback and take their advice and comments with them into their future careers. This year the judging panel comprises multi award-winning garden designer and landscape contractor Marc Gregory, Managing Director of Landform Consultants Ltd; Mitch Westwood of Westwood Solutions, landscaping expert for the BBC Rogue Traders programme; and Nigel Ellis, industry expert and lecturer at Plumpton College who has been involved with the WorldSkills competition for five years.
.
The 2008 landscape gardening competition has been project managed by the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) on behalf of WorldSkills UK, and the final will take place on the competition gardens adjacent to the BALI stand during each day of IOG SALTEX. Finalists will be competing for the chance to be selected for the UK World Skills team, joining young people from other vocational disciplines for the next World Skills competition (held every two years) in Canada in 2009; London will host the 2011 event.

Bobcat
The new T320 compact tracked loader and S70 skid-steer loader, the largest and smallest products in the Bobcat compact loader range, respectively, will be making their first appearances at Saltex , as part of celebrations for the 50th Anniversary of the Bobcat skid-steer loader. Complementing these products will be the first showing of the new high performance E08 and E10 micro-excavators alongside the new compact, multi-functional T2250 telehandler model. Bobcat will also be showing a selection of attachments for use in equipment rental, landscaping, forestry, groundcare, horticulture and estates management.
Driven by a powerful 67.6 kW Kubota V3800-DI-T liquid-cooled diesel engine, the new T320 compact tracked loader from Bobcat has the highest power-to-weight ratio in its class. The T320 is designed to meet a market demand for increased productivity (more engine power, more pushing force and more hydraulic power to give decreased cycle times) and an enhanced capability to run a wider range of attachments, including the most demanding high flow attachments. As well as the best power-to-weight ratio, the new T320 also has the highest rated operating capacity yet, and is among the most compact machines in its class.
The 4401 kg T320 model is a vertical lift path loader offering a rated operating capacity of 1461 kg, making it the largest compact tracked loader manufactured by Bobcat, and extending the range of compact tracked loaders currently available from the company to five models.
Replacing the 463 skid-steer loader, which previously set the standard in its class, the new S70 raises the bar further by combining all the advantages of a truly compact loader with new features and improvements offering significantly enhanced performance and durability. With a width of 901 mm, a height of 1814 mm, an overall length with standard bucket of 2553 mm and an operating weight of only 1291 kg, the new S70 skid-steer loader ticks all the boxes for compactness, transportability and manoeuvrability.
The new E08 and E10 micro-excavators are designed and engineered to provide the best combination of high performance, stability, operator safety, ergonomics and durability in the micro-excavator market. The E08 micro-excavator is a conventional model with a machine weight of 1028 kg and a maximum digging depth of 1.82 m. The E10 model is a zero tail swing micro-excavator with a maximum digging depth of 1.82 m and a machine weight of 1066 kg.
Easy to transport, the E08 and E10 micro-excavators are the smallest models in the Bobcat range. Both have a retractable undercarriage that takes the width of the machine down to only 710 mm, allowing easy access to sites. Once the excavators are positioned and ready for work, the undercarriage on the E08 and E10 can be expanded to 1000 mm and 1100 mm, respectively, for maximum stability in all working conditions.
The new Bobcat T2250 telehandler offers features and benefits of the skid-steer loader, articulated wheeled loader and telehandler in one machine. In effect, the new T2250 is three machines in one, offering exceptional versatility for a wide range of applications such as plant hire, construction, industry, builders’ merchants and landscaping.
With a height of 1970 mm, width of 1800 mm and length (without attachment) of 4190 mm, the 4.5 tonne T2250 is as compact as Bobcat’s largest skid-steer loader models and yet offers a loading performance comparable to that of an equivalently sized articulated wheeled loader.

Terrain Aeration
Terrain Aeration launch their new Remote Terralift machine, the lightest, smallest most manoeuvrable member of the Airforce fleet to date.
Pedestrian operated, 60 cms wide and weighing in at just 80 kilos, the Remote Terralift can be carried up steps, turned around tight corners and taken through the narrowest entrances with ease.
Like Tracker and Scamper this latest machine leaves the engine and compressor unit, (attached by an umbilical air hose) on the trailer, while performing one-metre deep de-compaction treatment with a range of air pressures, from 10 to 20 bar, regulated by the operator. With minimal surface disruption and the ability to inject nutrients, water-storing polymers or mycorrhizal fungi, the addition of the Remote Terralift means that this specialised aeration treatment is now available for the smallest, most difficult to access areas.
Built to fulfil a demand, the new Remote Terralift has been designed for back gardens, trees, shrub beds, golf courses, parks, sports grounds, retail sites or anywhere with compaction and drainage problems in a tight spot.
Terrain Aeration will be demonstrating the company’s full range of Airforce Terralift machines during the show, and offering a 15% discount for work booked over the three days.

BRITISH WILD FLOWER PLANTS
British Wild Flower Plants (BWFPs) are bringing their giant spaceship to Saltex.
Last seen on the company’s ‘Alien Invaders’ garden at the BBC’s Garden Design Event in Norwich, the space ship, the size of a small car will highlight the threat of invasive foreign plant species, which according to BWFPs are invading our countryside.
“People should be aware that plants like Japanese Knotweed and Pond Weed from Australia are threatening our natural wild flower population and invading our ponds and waterways,” says Marketing Manager Ian Forster. “We’ve put ourselves in the front line, fighting these alien species and Saltex is the ideal opportunity to warn people of this threat and encourage them to plant British wild flowers.”

Japanese Knotweed Control
Education and training will be key themes of Japanese Knotweed Control’s attendance at this year’s IOG SALTEX, as it returns to the show where it made a highly successful debut last year.
Not only has the company - a market leading specialist in the treatment and management of non-native invasive plants - spent the past 12 months consolidating business with many of the new prospects from last year’s show, but it has been working closely with a number of training bodies and industry specialists to substantially improve training, education and awareness of invasive weed management techniques.
As a result, Japanese Knotweed Control and its partners hope to announce a new fully accredited training course on the treatment of Japanese knotweed and launch it through some workshop presentations to coincide with this year’s SALTEX.
A central tenet of that training programme, and the company’s exhibition stand, will again be its stem injection system which was successfully launched 12 months ago and is now being widely used by a growing number of commercial customers across both the public and private sectors.
Joint managing director, David Layland says: “Our focus last year was on launching the new system and there has been increased take up of stem injection as it becomes recognised as the most ecologically sound and cost-effective treatment method in the current economic climate.
“This year we hope to capitalise on that by showcasing some of our recent success stories to new prospects. However, more generally, we want to highlight the need for people to be better informed on the problem and causes of all invasive weeds, and promote the level of training and education now being made available which will not only help counter the problem but also help to professionalise our industry to an even higher standard.”

Headland Amenity
Saltex sees the launch of THROTTLE, Headland’s powerful new curative and preventative systemic fungicide, and CABADEX, the company’s new selective herbicide.
THROTTLE combining tebuconazole and prochloraz as a liquid formulation gives powerful prevention and control of fusarium patch in managed amenity turf, despite low application rates. “The active ingredients have both curative and eradicant properties”says Mark De Ath, Headland’s operations director. “The resulting formulation is so efficient that the product performs effectively at a rate of 1.7 litres per hectare, and does not affect the natural balance of soil bacteria.”
THROTTLE is suitable for use on all established turf areas such as golf courses, bowls greens, sports pitches, parks and both residential and commercial lawns.
Combined leaf and root uptake of the active ingredients Florasulam and Fluroxypyr, means that CABADEX Headland’s new systemic herbicide can be efficient and safe even on turf at, or after the second leaf stage.
CABADEX also carries low application rates (two litres per hectare), but nevertheless controls stubborn species including Yarrow, Daisy and White Clover. Early trials have produced good results with Yellow Suckling Clover and Slender Speedwell.
“The herbicide’s low dose rate means that CABADEX inputs some of the lowest levels of active ingredients in the market,” says headland’s sales and marketing director Andy Russell. “The result is a cost effective, environmentally sensitive option, which allows safe re-seeding just four weeks after application.”
Due to the product’s ‘effective, efficient but safe’ qualities, CABADEX can be used in a wide variety of turf situations from golf courses and lawns to winter sports pitches, racecourses, airfields and roadside verges.

Aebi & Co.
The Aebi Group, based in Switzerland, offers a very broad range of multipurpose vehicles, equipment and system solutions, incorporating the latest technologies, for all requirements of municipalities for the care and upkeep of sites, grasslands and parks, for winter services and for street cleaning.
.The sales programme encompasses mechanical and hydrostatically driven multipurpose single-axle tractors, the three-wheel Terracut implement carrier, the Viatrac municipal transporter, the Kommunaltrak narrow-track implement carrier, the Terratrac (steep slope) implement carriers and the Aebi MFH compact street sweeping machines.
Terratrac Aebi TT270:
The Terratrac TT270 has been designed on the basis of the proven Aebi-Terratrac principle. As an extremely powerful (steep slope) implement carrier and special tractor, it is an all-rounder and the ideal working instrument for all professional applications in topographically difficult and sensitive terrain - from flat golf courses to steep river or road banks.
The Terratrac TT270 is oriented to the very latest in tractor engineering. The general comfort, particularly in relation to noise and dust, has experienced a substantial improvement. The operation of the basic machine and the implements has now been partially automated. Higher performance comes from the increased horsepower (95 HP), larger tyres and a higher lifting force.
Terratrac Aebi TT205:
The mechanisation of steep slope farming demands the lightest possible construction of the machinery in order to protect the sensitive surface and to achieve excellent and safe steep-slope handling characteristics. The Terratrac Aebi TT205 meets these criteria to a particularly high degree, since it has been equipped only with the essentials and as a result, it has been possible to limit the weight to just 1650 kg. Nevertheless, the vehicle equipment is by no means spartan. With the infinitely variable hydrostatic traction drive, the button-selectable front or all-wheel steering, the front-mounted hydraulics and the standard on-board computer, this steep-slope implement carrier in the compact class is simple and comfortable to operate. Drive is provided by a 2.2 l Kubota diesel motor with an output power of 36.4 kW (49.5 HP). If required, a rear-mounted hydraulic lift can be supplied as an optional extra. The Terratrac Aebi TT205 offers state-of-the-art technology at an affordable price and provides outstanding service wherever work using power-consuming implements has to be executed. With this steep-slope implement carrier, haymaking really becomes a pleasure since both the sensitive surface and your bank account are treated with equal care. Moreover, you do not have to forego driving comfort, since this is truly at the high level for which the name Terratrac has become a byword.
The Combicut Aebi CC56 the comfortable walk behind.
The fine feeling of the active steering and the infinitely variable hydrostatic drive together with the speed of changing the implements make this an easy comfortable machine for many applications. Even difficult mowing conditions on extreme slopes are made easier for the operator thanks to the characteristic of the CC56 and the power of a 13HP Basco Vangard petrol engine. Tyres and track width can be adapted exactly to the work requirements with terra, turf and cultural tyres available, these of course can retro-fitted with cage wheels or double wheels for use in extreme conditions. Implements for grass maintenance, sweeping, fertilizing even snow blowing can be fitted easily with out fuss and tools allowing the CC56 to be use through out the year.
Combicut Aebi CC66: Hydrostatic driven single-axle tractor.
The CC66 is a robust and universally deployable multipurpose machine for the care and maintenance of grass areas and hard-surface areas, as well as for winter services.
Thanks to the Aebi quick-fit connector system (with integrated PTO), a wide range of implements can be used: From flail and sickle mowers, hard-surface cleaning implements, and right through to snow blowers and snowploughs. Additionally, many of the implements that are used with earlier Aebi single-axle tractors and the three-wheel implement carrier Terracut Aebi TC07, can continue to be used on the Combicut Aebi CC66.
An 18 HP Briggs & Stratton petrol motor provides the necessary power for this single-axle tractor. Steering the CC66 is effortless thanks to the hydrostatic drive and the unique active steering system designed and developed by Aebi. The latest innovation is that if required, the CC66 can be supplied with an additional hydraulic lift. The Combicut Aebi CC66 is superb on steep slopes, protects sensitive surfaces and is truly comfortable for long working hours, day after day.

Amazone Grouncare
Amazone Groundcar customers now have the option of choosing a bio-fuel variant of the Profihopper ride-on mower. To be launched at the show, the latest Profihopper will be on display with a bio-ethanol engine and bio-hydraulic oil system. “We are responding to customer requests for more environmentally friendly equipment,” says Joe Weston, product manager. “The impetus for many customers, especially local councils, is a means of reducing their carbon emission targets – but with rising diesel prices and uncertainty over supply, the economic arguments are increasingly coming to the fore.
“The advantages of the Profihopper flail mower over rotary and cylinder mowers relate to the way it cuts. The flail mower, combined with the auger collection system, means that it can operate in all conditions and performs equally well in wet conditions and is far less susceptible to damage from foreign objects. Equally, objects such as drink cans are not ‘thrown aside’ like other mowers, which could present a health and safety risk, at road sides for example” says Joe

The Landini 6544 ‘large compact’ tractor, which will be launched to the groundscare sector at the show, has features and a base specification more often seen on higher horsepower models.
The newcomer is being introduced to complement the existing Compact 40-series models from 28hp to 47hp and bridge the gap to the full size Landini Powerfarm utility model.
“I think this tractor will have widespread appeal for groundscare work,” says Adrian Winnett of Landini UK. “The standard specification for a tractor of this size is excellent and it’s well put together.”
The Landini 6544’s 2.5-litre Mitsubishi four-cylinder engine develops 57hp and drives through a 32x16 synchro-shuttle transmission with creep ratios included as standard.
For operating implements there is a three-speed pto system that provides 540rpm at standard engine rpm or at a slower speed for greater fuel economy. The 1000rpm setting is suited to more demanding equipment and in all cases the system is engaged at the flick of a switch thanks to the electro-hydraulic control.
Twin double-acting remote valves ensure the tractor has no problem operating a wide range of implements and with 1750kg of implement lift available, it can handle plenty of different kit too – especially since a big tractor’s combination of draft, position and mix settings are available to suit different equipment and tasks. There is even a convenient one-shot lift lever and release button for quick raising and lowering of implements for headland turns.
The tractor comes as standard with a spacious air conditioned driver’s cab, hydrostatic twin-ram steering with 55deg steer angle on the portal front axle, and a steering column that is adjustable for rake to help the driver get comfortable.

Playworld Systems Europe has chosen the show as a platform to launch a series of exciting new play products.
The centrepiece of the stand, A1, will be Neos All Around - a brand new addition to the Neos outdoor electronic gaming range which is designed for smaller budgets.
As the name suggests, players stand in the middle of a circular structure on which electronic light buttons and the scoreboard are mounted, so that play wraps all the way around. Those tempted to have a go on stand can enter the highest score competition to win an iPod.
Also making their debut will be Playworld’s new Spring Riders with interactive sounds. These intelligent products take the spring rider concept to the next level, sensing movement and responding with sounds based on their characters which range from cows and horses to bees and cars.
Alongside these will also be new ‘play in motion’ products promoting bouncing, twisting and turning; new hardwearing concrete climbing boulders; and new sandpits with diggable fossils which allow children to unearth replica dinosaur bones and fossils with their fingertips, igniting their imaginations.

Simon Tullett Machinery Co
STM will be unveiling the new remote controlled ‘RoboFlail one’, manufactured and developed by Niko in conjunction with it’s German dealer KommTek for the first time at Saltex this year. This track machine is hydraulically driven, giving it total zero-turn which is ideal for bank work, and ensures minimal damage to turf. Its low centre of gravity and floating rubber tracks provide good stability and manoeuvrability at very steep angles, which enables the RoboFlail to work on banks of up to 55° angles in complete safety, and in all weathers, with no risk to the operator or machine.
The Roboflail has been designed to accept three different cutting systems, the Humus safety deck, the ESM Verti flail and the SCAG rotary deck. This enables the RoboFlail to cut in the worst conditions and also in parkland for a finer finish with the SCAG rotary head.
A 25hp Kawasaki engine provides excellent power and performance, helping the unit to reach speeds of 10 kph [6 mph] and capable of cutting up to 5000 m2/h.
Tests have shown that the RoboFlail’s cutting capabilities, sturdy design and easy to use remote control [user can operate the machine at a distance of up to 300m] have made it ideal for areas such as roads and highway maintenance, military bases, parklands and estate work.
The SCAG range of professional mowers will also be shown. The full range goes from 32” (81cm) / 15hp pedestrian to 72” (182cm) / 35hp ride-ons, including the introduction this year of a 3 cylinder 28hp Caterpillar Diesel model – heavy duty, power and performance.
Also new to the SCAG range is the 25hp Turf Tiger Diesel with a specially designed 52” deck. This machine has proved to be a great success as an economical and effective power unit, and the new 52” deck increases its versatility, allowing access in tighter areas and enabling it to be more transportable.
The SCAG Pro-V pedestrian model was launched at Scotsturf 2007, The advanced design includes new operator controls featuring the "V-Bar" - virtually eliminating hand fatigue and a new deck mounting and height adjustment system providing unrivalled operator comfort and productivity.

Charterhouse Turf Machinery
Charterhouse Turf Machinery is to present the Verti-Top Vac at the show offering groundsmen a solution for cleaning and maintaining sand and rubber infill synthetic sports surfaces. A vacuum system removes even fine particles, giving a cleaner, safer surface.
Part of a growing range of synthetic turf maintenance equipment, the Verti Top Vac is tractor mounted, like much of the range, allowing groundsmen to use existing power units.
Providing an economical alternative to bringing in a contractor to maintain synthetic surfaces, the Verti Top Vac also offers the opportunity to remove debris from pitches on a more regular basis, improving playing quality and prolonging the life of what can be a substantial investment.
The Verti Top Vac uses a large rotary brush to sweep the surface and collect material from within the carpet which is then placed on an oscillating sieve to separate debris from the infill. Larger pieces of debris move along the sieve into the collection hoper, while the infill is returned and brushed into the surface.
Lighter pieces of debris such as dust, hair, skin and loose fibres are collected into a bag on top of the hopper via a vacuum attachment. The vacuum effect takes place above the sieve, removing potentially harmful materials from the infill – other machines allow these materials to drop back onto the surface.
Adjustable tines at the front of the Verti-Top loosen and decompact the surface ahead of the brush for optimum cleaning, while a floating top link adapts to any undulations on the surface.
Working width is 1.5m, with a hopper capacity of 170 litres and dust collection bag of 20 litres. Sieve sizes of 3.2x3.2, 4x4, 5x5, 5.5x5.5 and 6x6mm can be specified for different types of infill, while a solid sieve allows the Verti Top Vac to be used for sweeping and collecting and weighs in at 500kg.
The Verti Top Vac joins an extensive range of pedestrian and tractor mounted machinery to groom, maintain and renovate synthetic surfaces, ensuring the highest possible playing quality and standards of hygiene.

THE HIRE SUPPLY COMPANY
The Hire Supply Company (HSC) , which has branches in Nottingham and London, will be giving visitors the opportunity to trial its comprehensive range of equipment.
As well as finding out more about its hugely popular range of Barreto Rotovators and Trenchers and its Compac Post Hole Borer, visitors to HSC’s stand will be treated to a preview of some of the very latest in groundscare equipment.
HSC will be launching two innovative new groundscare products at the show– the Hawk 13hp Stump Grinder and the Barreto Tracked Trencher.
The Barreto tracked trencher is the smallest dedicated tracked trencher currently on the market. It gives more traction, lower ground pressure and provides extra steerability, which is ideal for the wet UK climate.
At 30" wide, the Hawk stump grinder is narrower than HSC’s previous models. In addition, its engine is at an offset angle to the blade. which allows the machine to dig in deeper without tipping the engine to such an angle so that it starves of oil and seizes.
Both of these products have been built to withstand the rigours of the hire industry and are available exclusively in the UK through HSC.
All Barreto products and the Compac Post Hole Borer come with a three-year warranty as standard.
“We are delighted to be launching two very exciting new products at this year’s exhibition, including the eagerly-awaited Barreto Tracked Trencher, the smallest trencher on the market,” explained HSC managing director Gary McWilliam.

SUPA STADIA ECO has a free flowing formulation, which means that it can be used with high water volumes, but its highly concentrated form saves the use of oil for both transportation and container production.
“End users are not paying for us to cart water round the country,” says Vitax’s Mike King. “Five litres of concentrate will provide the same line marking coverage as much greater volumes of other line marking paints. This will lower the cost of line marking per pitch and cut storage and disposal costs to a minimum.”
Recent U.K. trials have proved SUPA STADIA ECO extremely durable under a wide range of weather conditions.

For instance the Hirebase stand will display the extremely versatile Kanga Loader, one machine with a host of attachments making it ideal for a variety of construction and landscaping projects. It is available for hire from all Hirebase branches.
So, visitors can view the frenzy of the Landscape Skills Competition, then walk over the aisle to the Buildbase / Hirebase stand and find out more about the company that is supporting the UK landscape industry in the search for its top young talent.

TUFFA PRODUCTS
Storing or moving petrol, or diesel, for small vehicles, or uses like mowers is often a problem. Filling cans and carrying them in cars or vans is not safe and can invalidate insurance cover. The new Tuffa Petrol Caddy 200 litre steel bunded and fireproofed tank meets this problem. Transportable and easy to handle, the new tank is UN approved and can fit on to a pickup or other truck for site or other movements.
For larger storage the Easi-fill fuel station range, in capacities from 1350 litres to 15,000 litres, gives users complete control over dispensing and filling. Easi-fill tanks can be adapted for site conditions and include, for example, Armco protection. Dual compartment versions make the handling of diesel and Ad Blue straightforward.

Predator Stand No. DAA 54
Predator Manufacturing is introducing a new range of machines for professional arboricultural contractors, landscapers, hire outlets and local authorities. The new machines offer powerful and compact recycling solutions and are designed to complement the Predator stump grinders, which range from small 12hp two-wheeled machines up to powerful 75hp self-propelled tracked machines with remote control. The new range comprises wood chippers, leaf vacuums, chipper shredders and trenchers.
On show at Saltex will be the CH150, turntable mounted, towed wood chipper with a powerful 28hp (20.8kW) Lombardini diesel engine. It provides the ideal solution to working on the roadside or feeding from the side of a driveway. A ‘State of the Art’ stress control is standard on this machine.
Two 18hp (13.42kW) leaf vacuums make short work of collecting leaves, cut grass, municipal waste, paper, litter and wood chips, with long wander hoses allowing access into difficult areas. Ruggedly constructed, the vacuums are available for truck or trailer mounting or as a towed version.
Two and four wheel chipper shredders feature Honda engines for power and reliability. The two-wheeled KDO 85 is designed for disposal of garden waste and woody materials up to 80mm diameter, shredding them to small particles for composting. The KDO 90 will chip small branches, up to 100mm, and take roots and small pieces of timber through the shredder chute. A discharge chute allows easy filling of bags, skips or trailers. The KDO 90 is a machine suitable for both professional and domestic use.
For laying cables, lines and drainage, Predator is producing two trenchers that can also be seen at the show. The TR50/6 has a trenching speed of about 60 running metres per hour, to a depth of up to 50cm. The TR60H features hydraulic drive and adjustable depth making it efficient in compact and hard, stony soils.

TEREX
The Terex PT-30 is the Company’s most compact rubber track loader. At only 48 inches (1219 mm) wide, the PT-30 is sized to work in confined spaces. The PT-30 offers ‘exceptional traction, performance and ease of operation’.
The 33.7 horsepower (25.1 Kw) PT-30 uses an exclusive patented undercarriage technology with suspension that maximizes traction and flotation while giving operators a comfortable ride. The PT-30 uses 24 wheels in its undercarriage to spread the machine’s weight over the entire length and width of its tracks. As a result, the machine’s 3,305 lb (1500 kg) operating weight is distributed down to only 2.8 pounds per square inch (19.2 kPa) of ground pressure. That is less ground pressure than that of a person on foot. With such low ground pressure, the PT-30 can work productively in soft or wet ground conditions where skid steer loaders and other larger track loaders cannot work at all.
Extremely low ground pressure also makes the PT-30 ideal for work on environmentally-sensitive surfaces such as landscaping, golf courses and wherever fragile underground systems need to be protected. By using the PT-30, contractors can prevent costly ground damage that often occurs when using wheeled or other tracked machines over yards and turf.
Ideal for landscaping, construction, snow removal, golf course maintenance, municipalities, farming and private land owners, the PT-30 may be outfitted with a wide range of loader-mounted attachments, each performance-matched to connect easily and work productively. Included are buckets, rakes, a brushcutter, mowers, blades, a snowblower, backhoe, broom, land leveler, pallet forks and many more. Hydraulic attachments readily connect to the PT-30’s standard 10 gpm (37.9 lpm) 3000 psi (20 670 kPa) auxiliary hydraulic system.
Operators also have the option of the machine’s standard tracks or a special smooth Turf Track. The machine’s standard track is an 11-inch (508 mm) wide general purpose track with moderate treads for optimum operation and traction in the widest range of ground conditions. The Turf Track offers exceptionally low-impact performance when on the most sensitive or fragile surfaces and is the ideal choice for landscape or golf course contractors.
The PT-30 is one of three new Terex® PT Series Compact Track Loaders that range from 33.7 hp (25.1 kW) to 80.5 hp (60 kW) __________________
